Leeds Rum Fest is back this September!
Once again we return to our favourite spot – the iconic Leeds Corn Exchange – to bring you more Rum, infectious music, in-depth masterclasses and delicious street food.
We are very excited to be showcasing our sponsor Nusa Caña Indonesian rum alongside over 100 rums available for you to try from all over the world. Each one is represented by experts ready to talk you through every sip.
This year will also feature the Monin Rum bar, shaking up some tropical classics and twists such as Piña Coladas, spiced mango rum punches and watermelon daiquiris. The bar will also be stocked with refreshing Three Cents Sodas (try the pineapple soda and thank us later) and craft beers.
Slightly off the beaten track, you will find bespoke masterclasses hosted by rum ambassadors ready to fill you with knowledge (and rum of course!). It’s first come first served so get your spot quick.
As always, our good friends at Latitude Wine & Spirit Merchants will be operating the festival bottle shop so you can purchase your favourites from the festival to take home.
Included with your ticket is:
- Access to the festival
- Access to over 100 rum samples
- Access to talks, masterclasses and tastings
- Live entertainment provided by Black Music Festival, Leeds
Where is the Corn Exchange and how do I get there?
You can find location and travel info here.
Where can I find parking and cycle bays?
You can find more info on the venue’s website here.
How accessible is the corn exchange?
Leeds Corn Exchange is fully accessible via the front entrance ramp and there is lift access to all floors. There are accessible toilet facilities on the lower ground floor. If you have any other requirements please get in touch with the event organisers.
I’ve never been to a rum festival before. What does it look like?
Take a look at our social media to get an idea. When you arrive there will be 20 plus stands with a different rum brand at each one. Each stand will be operated by knowledgeable ambassadors and experts so we encourage you to ask questions! Slightly aside from the main area will be some seating, food vendors and a bar if you need a time out.
Do I need to know a lot about rum?
Absolutely not! There are plenty of different styles and experts to help you find the right rum for you. This is a great way to understand the category as a whole.
What exactly is a ‘sample’ of rum?
A sample of rum is around 15ml of liquid. Remember there will be over 100 rums, it’s a marathon, not a sprint!
Is there water available?
All guests receive bottled water upon entry. Tap and bottled water are available from the Monin Rum Bar. We encourage you to remain hydrated.
What do I need to bring with me?
Just your QR/bar code that comes with your e-ticket. It will be scanned upon entry, so either have a printout or it ready on your phone.
Will there be food available?
We will have two local food traders on the day with veggie/vegan options. If you have specific allergen/dietary concerns, please get in touch with the venue organisers. Please note that food is not included in the ticket price.
What is a masterclass?
Our masterclasses are a chance to get a more in-depth talk from the brands. All of them cover different topics and a range of rum styles. A timetable will be published nearer to the event.
Do the masterclass cost extra?
No, they are included in the ticket price but are only available to a limited number of guests.
Do I have to book the masterclasses?
Our masterclasses are first come first serve and only host approximately 15 people. Please make sure you queue at least 15 minutes before the class starts to avoid disappointment.
Is there just rum available?
We also have our Monin Rum bar serving craft beer and tropical cocktails. Three Cents sodas will also be available.
