On Friday 14th August we are hosting our first online wine tasting event in collaboration with our favourite independent wine merchant Latitude Wine and Spirits.
We are delighted to welcome our host Giles Cooke MW (Master of Wine) and one half of the Thistledown Wine Co! With fellow MW Fergal Tyanan, Giles works with pristine fruit sourced from iconic vineyard sites in the Adelaide Hills, Australia. Together they craft lithe, energetic wines that illustrate the benefits of great sites and intelligent, low-intervention winemaking.
Giles and Fergal share a particular passion for Grenache and, in ever more detail, Thistledown continue to unpick the rich patchwork of South Australian Grenache – reassembling it in their own inimitable style. This unique blend of superb fruit sources and experience in both the New and the Old Worlds helps craft wine of subtlety, texture and detail – wines perfectly suited to complement rather than overwhelm fine food.
When you buy your ticket you will receive a Zoom link to the session and the sample pack will be delivered to your door. All wines are vacuum packed, and sent out as close to the event as possible to keep them fresh for the tasting.
